“Blessed be the name of the Lord, the Lord is One.”
Websters: Paradigm (Para dime) 1. An example or model. 2. A generally accepted concept that explains a complex idea, set of data, etc.
A paradigm shift is a change in that example, model or in the generally accepted concept that explains a complex idea or set of data.
Why would God wait to turn our thinking away from something that seemed so sure and we are talking about Christ here? Is there something new that changes things which necessitates this change in our understanding of Him; an expanded purpose?
I was told (taught) once that a paradigm shift in thinking takes the support of many over time and typically first by those in authority. I thought, “No wonder Jesus had such a hard time.” Then I thought, “But these guys were destined to put Him to death. They were not to get it until later.” Then I thought, “In Christ, once dead and resurrected, the shift in the pattern of understanding about a relationship with God began to take place, one disciple at a time, unto the whole world. All that was needed was the sureness of the end game conclusion. That is what the resurrection proved.”
Another paradigm shift is taking place. We are seeing into how He accomplished His departure and how we to must implement the same plan. As the hour came literally for Him to be obedient to the Father’s will, the hour (figuratively) has arrived for us. Oh Jesus prepared in advance, thinking about it every time He spoke of it. He even rebuked His disciple Peter for not thinking as He did about the death He (Jesus) would “accomplish” in Jerusalem; even after the Mount of Transfiguration experience!
This book is about that very shift. Jesus faced this very problem as He pointed to heart conditions covered by the Law but not grasped in Spirit. It was just as lethal then, for those people as it is now for us, to reject the paradigm shift that is taking place. There is nothing new here except our point of view and the effect of that new view on our eternal lives.
Jesus pointed over and over again to heart condition. He did so because heart condition is the ticket to eternal life.
Wait a minute Mike! The Word says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
Agreement is the standard that puts Christ in the Father and the Father in Christ and us in Christ and the Holy Spirit in both them and us. We are in them IF we are in agreement with them. Agreement, agreement, agreement! Grace and our will get us to that place of agreement but we must get there before we depart.
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV) So who are we? What are we thinking? What are we feeling and does it reflect something contrary to what Jesus taught? Is not our agreement, (with Him) the perfecting of ourselves, the perfecting of our relationship with God? How can it not be critical to our eternal life?
Jesus taught on things that lead to salvation! No? “We are saved when we ask Jesus into our hearts!” No, you are reconciled to God, then by following Jesus you will maintain the righteousness you were given freely. (Romans 5:10, John 3:36) Why did He bother teaching if He was going to do it all for us on the cross? The Cross is our beginning our Alpha experience with Him. Life with Him is our Omega experience, ending with our actual salvation and eternal life. We must have both Alpha and Omega.
This is the paradigm shift. Yes there is more required of us now. It was always there and foretold; the fact that the responsibility is upon us now is as sure as dusk precedes the night. Then again Dawn follows the night!
This Resurrection Day I was reminded. Let us remember there is a life to live, both here and there! One prepares us for the other. We can remain in worldly or carnal thinking or we can embrace the distressing teachings which are however the saving Ways of Christ, in the face of distressing events.” Look away loved ones. Do NOT judge. Only intercede for the doomed that the blind may see.
The teacher that shared his premise about paradigm shifts admitted that this was the first time he had taught this. If any one individual brought a shift in how to think Jesus did. He too was rejected in favor of traditional thinking by leadership. The teacher was sadly correct, in light of Christ. My question is shall we, especially in leadership, learn from our mistakes or not. Do we have to repeat history or can we learn from it?
“But Michael, you are just one man.” I doubt it. Others around the world are hearing from the Lord about this. I cannot be the only one, although I will shout it all alone from the house tops KNOWING He has given me this charge and a heart to rescue. God knows I am at my best in a crisis.
“Michael how can we change everything on your word alone?” Throughout my posts and in my book, there is an abundance of scripture. All I bring is the inspiration to point you to the scriptures! His Truth contains truth we had to be guided to by the Holy Spirit. It is truth about what is to come and the truth about how we are to weather the storm while glorifying Him. Get your eyes off of me. Look to His Word.
“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” John 16:13 (NASB)
Dear brethren, Christ is our example, our Paradigm, and He is focusing us forward on forgiveness for forgiveness. This, the last message of the cross, is being preached more and more around the world. Why?
“For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. “But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.” Matthew 6:14-15 (NASB)
When “forgiveness” expands to a teaching about “enduring love” then the prophecy Jesus spoke in Matthew 24:13 and 14 will be fulfilled, as it must be.
God may have allowed our original understanding (whatever you call it) to exist for so long because of its simplicity or because circumstances were not yet ready for His shift in our thinking to be successful. We did not have to know more at that time and if we died we were still covered by the basic understanding we held. Now things are different.
Today our hearts are being challenged more than ever before. Shall the warning from God not go out? What kind of God would he be, what kind of love would it be, to not warn your children, the future citizens of Your Son’s kingdom?
Concerned over the warnings, some may have a sense that the enemy is approaching but most do not even want to think about it! Many just want to trust God in all this. Is that bad? Not in itself. Trusting in God is good. “I trust Him for my salvation!”
What is trust if not exercised during the challenges of life? He has in fact taught us so that we will trust in His Word of protection. He is the Word! Trusting the Word is the same as trusting the Father or Jesus.
Our protection is in implementing the mechanisms He has provided. These same attitudes of the heart are meant to carry us into eternity where our new “second nature” will rule our souls, where the Ways of God and Christ IN US will mean a kingdom of peace ruled by the Prince of Peace.
There will be no compromise in the choosing of this eternal population. Rejoice that He has made the Way known to us!
Below is detailed posting about the Apostasy. I found it very informative.
“If we remain in His grip, how far from His heart can we be!”
In the guardianship of Christ,
Michael
